An active lifestyle and quality of life of senior in the region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou seniorů po odchodu do důchodu, na možnosti trávení volného času seniorů v domácím prostředí a v zařízeních sociální péče v mikroregionu Bystřicko a na jejich vzájemnou komparaci. Charakterizuje a definuje pojmy stáří, kvalita života a životní styl, zabývá se změnami, které jsou pro stáří charakteristické. Poukazuje na úzký vztah mezi fyzickou a psychickou spokojeností seniora a aktivním trávením volného času. V praktické části se snaží nalézt odpověď na otázku, jaké jsou rozdíly v trávení volného času u seniorů v domácím prostředí a v zařízeních sociální péče.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis is dealing with the issue of seniors having got retired. It focuses on their possibilities of active entertainment at home setting and in the social care facilities of the region Bystřicko. In this thesis, it is tried to comppare both types of enviroments. The terms like aging, quality of life and lifestyle are characterized and changes characteristic for aging are the matter of concern. It is pointed at narrow relationship between the seniors physical and psychological satisfaction and an active passing of leisure time. The thesis also deals with seniors motivation leading them to the active passing of leisure time.In the practical section of the thesis, it is tried to find an answer to the question: Are there any differences between passing of leisure time at home setting and in the social care facilities?
