Job satisfaction and it's impact on the quality of social work staff in the helping profession

Abstract:

Diplomovou práci jsem psala s cílem zjistit, jaké pracovní podmínky činí pracovníky (ne)spokojenými a proč. Současně jsem zjišťovala, jaká je úroveň celkové pracovní spokojenosti oddělení hmotné nouze. Diplomová práce je tedy pojatá jako úvod do problematiky pracovní spokojenosti pracovníků v pomáhajících profesích. Na základě tohoto se věnuji obecně práci, sociální práci, pracovní spokojenosti a jejím faktorům a také fyzické a psychické náročnosti práce. Teoretická část dává základ empirické části a je z ní stanovena hlavní a dílčí výzkumná otázka. V empirické části jsem prostřednictvím kvalitativní metody sesbírala potřebná data, analyzovala je a našla odpověď na stanovené cíle. Z výsledků pak vyplývá, že s většinou vnějších faktorů jsou zaměstnanci nespokojeni a celková pracovní spokojenost je podprůměrná.

Abstract:

In my diploma thesis I focused on what working conditions make employees (dis)satisfied and why. At the same time I tried to find out what the level of overall job satisfaction is at the department of material need. Therefore the thesis is an introduction to the issue of employees’ satisfaction in helping professions. On the basis of this, I focused on work in general, on social work, job satisfaction and its factors and also on physical and psychical demands of the work. The theoretical part provides an empirical basis and the main and partial question was set out of it. In the practical part, I collected the necessary data through a qualitative method, I analyzed them and found an answer to the stated objectives. The results show that the employees are dissatisfied with most of the external factors and overall job satisfaction has been below average.
