Abstract:
This thesis describes the role of microRNAs (miRNAs), short non-coding RNAs, that act as gene expression regulators in cells. Similarly to protein-coding genes, deregulation of miRNAs might be involved in the biology of both solid and hematooncological tumors. miRNA deregulation was firstly connected with pathogenesis of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
