Process of certification of ecological hotel

Abstract:

Podstatou práce je rozbor úrovně zeleného managementu provozu předmětných hotelů. Akcent je kladen na přímý postup a důležitost zavádění certifikace zaměřenou na ekologii hotelů. Hlavním zaměřením diplomové práce je popis samotné certifikace od podání žádosti o udělení certifikátu až po jeho případné obdržení a vypracování návrhu a opatření pro fiktivní hotel Puk, který o certifikaci s označením „Ekologicky šetrná služba“ chce požádat. Jednotlivé kroky pro obdržení certifikace jsou především prvotní rozhodnutí o výběru dané ekoznačky, ověření zda certifikovaný produkt spadá do některé z produktových skupin, zjištění registračních poplatků v návaznosti na velikost podniku, obstarání dokumentace s podklady o plnění jednotlivých kritérií pro příslušnou produktovou skupinu, zaslání kompletní dokumentace a přihlášky odpovědné organizaci. Následuje posouzení od organizace, zda je dokumentace kompletní, formálně správná a zda byl uhrazen registrační poplatek, dále je zahájeno řízení o udělení ekoznačky, které probíhá i v místě provozu. Během řízení může organizace požádat o doplnění nedostačujících materiálů. V případě, že produkt splňuje všechna potřebná kritéria a požadavky pro danou produktovou skupinu jsou zástupci hotelu pozváni na oficiální událost konanou organizací udělující certifikace a obdrží certifikát s registračním číslem, zároveň bude s hotelem podepsána licenční smlouva o právu používat ekoznačku.

Abstract:

The essence of the work is to analyze the level of green management operation in questioned hotels. Emphasis is placed on direct process and the importance of implementation of certification focused on ecology hotels. The main focus of this thesis is the description of the certification from the request until the receipt and to develop proposals and measures for the fictitious hotel Puk, which wants to ask for the certification with the label “Environmentally Friendly Service”. The steps of obtaining the certification are decision on selection of the eco-label, verify that the certified products falls within one of the product groups, determine registration fees in relation to the size of the company, provision of the documentation with evidence of the fulfillment of individual criteria for the relevant group, sending in the complete documentation and application form to the responsible organization. Following by an assessment of the responsible organization whether the documentation is complete, formally correct and that the registration fee is paid, followed by the commencement of proceeding on the eco-label awarding. During the proceeding, it is possible to obtain additional requests from the responsible organization in completing of some materials. In case that the product meets all the necessary criteria and requirements for the product group, representatives from the hotel are invited to the official event held by responsible organization and will receive a certificate with the registration number, together with a license agreement on the right to use the label.
