Business model and its validation for the Alzheimer's center

Abstract:

V důsledku stárnutí populace a zvyšujícího se výskytu osob s Alzheimerovou chorobou se péče o tyto pacienty stává jednou z nejvíce poptávaných služeb. Odvětví sociálních služeb kromě obrovského potenciálu ale skrývá také hrozby v podobě nedostatku finančních zdrojů. Cílem této práce tedy je vytvořit business model finančně soběstačného Alzheimer centra pro českou a německou klientelu, které poskytuje požadovanou kvalitu služeb a následně validace vytvořeného business modelu. Podkladem pro tvorbu business modelu budou sekundární data, jejichž zdrojem budou výroční zprávy domovů pro seniory, které poskytují pobytové služby pro osoby s Alzheimerovou chorobou. Získaná sekunární data budou sloužit ke zjištění nejvhodnějšího poměru vstupů a výstupů prostřednictvím modelu DEA a nalezení souvislosti mezi výkonností, která je zastoupena zejména efektivitou a následně kvalitou poskytovaných služeb. Validace business modelu proběhne pomocí ověření poptávky, a to zejména hloubkovými rozhovory s potenciálními klienty. Výsledný business model s deklarovaným zájmem klientů poté bude sloužit pro realizaci založení Alzheimer centra nebo jako podklad pro investory.

Abstract:

Due to the aging of population and the increasing incidence of people with Alzheimer's disease, the care of these patients is becoming one of the most sought after services. However, in addition to the huge potential, the social services sector also hides threats in the form of a lack of financial resources. The aim of this work is to create a business model of a financially self-sufficient Alzheimer's Center for Czech and German clients, which provides the required quality of services and subsequent validation of the created business model. The basis for the creation of the business model will be secondary data, their source will be annual reports of nursing homes for the elderly, which provide residential services for people with Alzheimer's disease. The obtained secondary data will be used to determine the most appropriate ratio of inputs and outputs using the DEA method and to find a relationship between performance, which is mainly represented by efficiency and subsequently quality of services provided. The validation of the business model will take place through demand verification, especially in-depth interviews with potential clients. The resulting business model with the declared interest of clients will then serve to implement the establishment of the Alzheimer's Center or as a basis for investors.
