This Master’s diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the Czech and French vocabulary of ballroom dance. In the theoretical part, the history and the current situation of dance and lexicography are described as well as different kinds of dictionaries. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá českým a francouzským názvoslovím tanečních figur standardních tanců. Teoretická část se zabývá stránkou taneční (definice a vývoj tance, současná situace v Česku a ve Francii) a lexikografickou (historie, typy a struktura slovníku). Praktická část si klade dva cíle.
