The possibilities of work-family reconciliation in chosen organisation

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zodpovězení otázky, do jaké míry odpovídají nástroje (strategie) firmy strategiím rodičů s dětmi v předškolním věku ve vybrané organizaci v oblasti harmonizace práce a rodiny. V teoretické části práce jsem vymezila nerovné postavení mužů a žen na trhu práce a nástroje poskytované zaměstnavatelem, které umožňují zmírnění tenzí mezi pracovní a rodinnou sférou. Jedná se především o genderové nerovnosti v přístupu k zaměstnání, v zaměstnání a v odměňování. Dále se práce zabývá strategiemi žen/matek a mužů/otců, postoji zaměstnavatele a nástroji harmonizace práce a rodiny na úrovni organizace. Hlavním cílem je zjistit, do jaké míry tyto nástroje odpovídají individuálním strategiím rodičů s dětmi v předškolním věku. Možnosti využívání těchto nástrojů mají neoddiskutovatelný vliv na bezproblémovou harmonizaci práce a rodiny. Prostřednictvím rozhovorů se zaměstnanými rodiči jsem zjišťovala jejich názory, potřeby a možnosti využívání opatření v organizaci (které byly částečně konfrontovány se strategiemi vedení organizace). Abstract:

The main goal of my diploma thesis is to answer how much firm instruments (strategies) correspond with policies of parents with pre school children in harmonization between work and family in chosen organization. In theoretical part of my thesis, I determined unequal conditions of men and women on labour market and instruments, that can alleviate contrasts between work and family domain, which are offered by employer. This is question mainly of gender disparity in access to employment, in employment and in rewarding. Farther, my thesis undertakes with women/mothers and men/fathers strategies, employer attitude and with instruments of harmonization between work and family on organization degree. The basic aim is to find how much these instruments correspond with individual policies of parents with pre school children. Possibilities of taking advantages from these instruments are having pivotal influence on ideal harmonization between work and family life. Through the discussion with employed parents, I was founding their opinions, needs and possibilities of taking advantages from organization arrangements (they were partly confronted with leading organization strategies).
