The theory of motivation and motivating students

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku motivace. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje tři kapitoly a praktická pak dvě kapitoly. První kapitola bakalářské práce se zabývá definicí pojmu motivace, její charakteristikou a klasifikací. V této kapitole jsou shrnuty možné přístupy chápání pojmu motivace. A kromě definice motivace a pojmů s ní souvisejících kapitola rozebírá zdroje motivace. Druhá kapitola této práce se zaměřuje na průzkum teorií zabývajících se motivací. Proto je zde předložena systematická analýza několika důležitých teorií motivace. Rozsáhlá část je věnována Maslowově hierarchii lidských potřeb. Na závěr této kapitoly je uvedeno, které teorie by bylo možno použít ve školní praxi. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na motivaci ve školním prostředí. Konkrétně na pravidla a metody správné motivace žáků. Dále se tato kapitola zabývá výkonovou motivací žáků. Praktická část bakalářské práce si klade otázku, jaké je motivování žáků ve vztahu ke školní výkonnosti a úspěšnosti. Dále se snaží potvrdit stanovené předpoklady jako např. že výkonová motivace u žáků základních škol je odlišná od výkonové motivace žáků středních škol. Čtvrtá kapitola popisuje také cíl, metody a postup výzkumu. Pátá kapitola shrnuje výsledky výzkumu a vyslovuje zhodnocení motivační výkonnosti žáků. V neposlední řadě se zabývá problematikou rámcových vzdělávacích programů a motivace.

Abstract:

The first chapter of the bachelor thesis deals with the definition of motivation, its characteristics and classifications. This part summarizes the various approaches to the motivation and analyzes sources of the motivation. The second chapter of this bachelor thesis is focused on the research of the theories of the motivation. The largest part is concerned to Maslow's hierarchy of human needs. At the conclusion of this chapter are mentioned theories that could be used in school practice. The third chapter describes the motivation in school environment. Specifically the rules and methods of right school motivation. This chapter is also focused on the achievement motivation of students. The practical part of this bachelor thesis asks, what is the motivation in relation to school achievement and success of student. Trying to confirm the specified conditions, such as that achievement motivation of students in primary schools is different from the achievement motivation of students in secondary schools. The fourth chapter describes the aim, methods and process of research. The fifth chapter summarizes the results of research and expresses appreciation of achievement motivation of students. Finally, it deals with the general educational programs and motivation.
