Jewish Town in Třebíč as a topic for an Integrated Thematic Instrucition

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce s názvem „Židovská čtvrť v Třebíči jako téma integrované tematické výuky“ je navrhnout a následně v praxi ověřit návrh týdenního tematického celku, který by měl žáky seznámit nejen s třebíčskou Židovskou čtvrtí, ale i židovskou problematikou v širším slova smyslu. První část práce se zabývá integrovanou tematickou výukou teoreticky a historií Židovské čtvrti v Třebíči. Ve druhé části popisuji samotný proces přípravy a sestavení výukového modelu, který vychází ze zjištění, co žáci o problematice vědí. Výukový model je zpracován podle výsledků dotazníkové sondy zaměřené na znalosti žáků o dané problematice. Na základě toho byl vytvořen týdenní tematický celek, jehož ověření v praxi proběhlo na Základní škole Týnská v Třebíči v průběhu února 2015.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis called „Jewish Quarter in Třebíč as a topic for an Integrated Thematic Instruction“ is to design and also field test a week-long thematic unit of this topic that should not only mediate the introduction of the Jewish Quarter, but should also aim to set the grounds for exploration of the Jewish topic in a broader sense. First part of the thesis focuses on the theory of Integrated Thematic Instruction and on the history of Jewish Quarter in Třebíč. In the next part I describe the process of preparing and creating the teaching model built on students' pre-existing knowledge of this topic. The teaching model is based on results of a questionnaire probe aimed at establishing the level of pre-existing knowledge of the topic among students. The week-long thematic unit was created on this basis and had its' verification anchored in a field test which took place at Primary school Třebíč Týnská 8 during the February of 2015.
