Selected political events pertaing to the formation of public administration within the Czech territory in the thirties and forties of the 20th century

Abstract:

Po vyhlášení samostatného Československého státu v roce 1918 byl přijat tzv.recepční zákon a tím pádem přecházely dosavadní rakouské správní orgány do podřízenosti Národního výboru. Po celou dobu tzv.první republiky probíhaly ve státní správě pokusy o její reorganizaci a reformy. V době obsazení Sudet německou armádou se zcela změnila struktura a fungování státní správy a samosprávy na daném území a to i v období tzv.druhé republiky, kdy už bylo jasné , že Československo pomalu vymizí z mapy Evropy. Cílem této práce je přiblížit a porovnat fungování Veřejné správy na území před a po připojení daných území k Německé říši

Abstract:

After the declaration of an independent Czechoslovak state in 1918, the law of reception was enacted meaning that all bodies of public administration of the prior Habsburg state became subordinated to the national committees. During the period of the so-called “First Republic” there were attempts to reform and reorganize public administration. The structure and function of public administration and local administrative bodies changed during the German occupation of the Sudetenland; this occurred also during the time of the so- called “Second Republic” when it became evident that the Czechoslovak state would be erased from the map of Europe. The goal of this thesis is to examine the role of public administrative bodies and compare how they functioned before and after the annexation of the Czech territories to the German Reich.
