Non-verbal Communication in Team Games

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá významem a vlivem neverbální komunikace v týmových hrách. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy, jako je komunikace, její druhy a obměny, a zejména její neverbální forma. Do základních pojmů jsou zařazeny také sportovní skupiny a osobnost trenéra. Praktická část se zaměřuje na výzkum, který byl proveden u dvou basketbalových a dvou volejbalových týmů v Brně. Podstatnou část výzkumu představovala demonstrace upravené hry bez použití verbálních projevů. Výsledky jsou vyhodnoceny na základě pozorování, zpětné vazby a ankety. Vyhodnocení výzkumu dokazuje důležitost neverbálních prvků v týmové hře.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the meaning and the influence of non-verbal communication in team games. In the first part the basic items about communication, types of communication are defined. Particulary non-verbal communication is defined here. Also basic terms such as sport teams and coaching abilities are determined here. In the practical part there is a research included, which is based on two basketball and two volleyball teams in Brno. The important part of the research was a modified game performed by the players without using any verbal elements during the game. The results are based on an observation, feed back and a survey. The evaluation of the research proves the importance of non-verbal elements in team games.
