Development activities and potential of the selected territory of the Krkonoše, with a focus on tourism

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje rozvojovým aktivitám a potenciálu v konkrétních částech Krkonoš z hlediska cestovního ruchu. Zkoumá čtyři města, kterými jsou Harrachov, Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Špindlerův Mlýn a Pec pod Sněžkou. Obsahem práce je historie Krkonoš a jejich vývoj z hlediska cestovního ruchu, který navazuje na stručné seznámení s chodem a využití těchto měst. Cílem práce je zjistit na základě komparace měst a porovnáním statistických údajů, které ze středisek je nejlépe rozvinuto. Dále navrhnout případná řešení, kterými lze pomoci ostatním městům k lepšímu rozvoji.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on activity development and a potential in specific parts of the Krkonose Mountains in tourism. The thesis investigates four local times from the area – Harrachov, Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Špindlerův Mlýn and Pec pod Sněžkou. The content of this work involves the history of Krkonose Mountains and their development in terms of tourism industry which follows a brief introduction to the operation and use of these cities. The aim of the thesis is to compare statistics and comparisons of which of the centers has developed the best so far. Furthermore, the final aim is to suggest possible solutions that can help other cities for better development in the future.
