Educational Use of Epic Song in Kindergartens

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem „Edukační potenciál epické písně v mateřských školách“ popisuje vý-voj předškolního vzdělávání od 19. století po současnost. Zabývá se aktuální nabídkou mateř-ských škol a jejich zaměření, seznamuje čtenáře s Rámcovým vzdělávacím programem pro před-školní vzdělávání. Vyzdvihuje pozitivní vliv hudby na člověka od raného dětství. Odkazuje na aktuální využití hudebních aktivit v mateřských školách. Přináší vlastní definici pojmu epická pí-seň. Součástí práce je zpěvníček epických písní, jenž je rozdělen do tří kategorií na lidové, du-chovní a soudobé písně. K jednotlivým písním jsou dle textu přizpůsobené aktivity, a to napříč všemi pěti oblastmi z RVP PV. Záměrem práce je zjištění, že prostřednictvím vhodně zvolené epické písně lze docílit vzdělávání dětí předškolního věku ve všech žádoucích oblastech.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on Educational Potential of Epic Song in the Preschool Education. The theoretical part describes the development of Preschool education, from the 19th century, up to the present day. The diploma thesis deals with the current range of preschools, and their spe-cializations, as well as looking very closely at the Framework Education Programme for Preschool education. Furthermore, it introduces and goes on to analyze, how recent studies have deter-mined, the positive impact of music on the youngest learners. It explores, the present-day range of music activities currently deployed in Preschools. The thesis has postulated its own definition of the Epic Song. As part of this diploma thesis, a songbook, containing a collection of appropri-ate songs, has been researched and produced. There are three categories of songs: folk, spiritual and contemporary songs. Each individual song title includes both, a text, and a set of customized activities, formulated on the bases of the five segments in the Framework Education Programme for Preschool education. The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine and conclusively demon-strate, that through an appropriately chosen epic song, it is possible to achieve the required educa-tion standard, of Preschool learning, in all five segments of the programme.
