Synthesis of the Molybdenum Compounds with Coordinated Benzo[e]indenyl Ligand

Abstract:

Teoretická část je zaměřena na polycyklické sloučeniny vhodné pro přípravu organokovových sloučenin. Jedná se převážně o deriváty cyklopentadienu s kondenzovanými benzenovými jádry. Popisuje jejich přípravu, vazebné možnosti a rozložení elektronů u těchto systémů, dále pak jejich využití pro přípravu organokovových sloučenin. V praktické části je popsána příprava a charakterizace benzo[e]indenu a jeho nových komplexů molybdenu [(?5-C13H9)(?3-C3H5)Mo(CO)2], [(?5-C13H9)Mo(CO)2L2][BF4] (L2 = bpy, phen) a [(?3-C13H9)Mo(CO)2(tpm)][BF4]. Tyto organokovové sloučeniny byly charakterizovány IR a NMR spektroskopií. V IR spektrech byla u všech komplexů potvrzena přítomnost dvou karbonylových ligandů. NMR spektroskopie umožnila určit hapticitu vazby mezi benzo[e]indenylem a atomem molybdenu. Rentgenovou difrakční analýzou byla určena struktura komplexu [(?5-C13H9)(?3-C3H5)Mo(CO)2].

Abstract:

Theoretical part is focused on the polycyclic compounds suitable for the preparation of organometallic compounds. These are mainly derivatives of cyclopentadiene with condensed benzene rings. It describes their preparation, bonding options and electron distribution in these systems and their use for the preparation of organometallic compounds. The practical part describes the preparation and characterization of benzo[e]indene and its new molybdenum complexes [(?5-C13H9)(?3-C3H5)Mo(CO)2], [(?5-C13H9)Mo(CO)2L2][BF4] (L2 = bpy, phen) and [(?3-C13H9)Mo(CO)2(tpm)][BF4]. These organometallic compounds were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The IR spectra of the complexes confirmed the presence of two carbonyl ligands. NMR spectroscopy was used to identify a hapticity of the bond between benzo[e]indenyl and molybdenum atom. Structure of the complex [(?5-C13H9)(?3-C3H5)Mo(CO)2] was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.
