Efficiency of Montessori pedagogy and sense of special aids used for pupils with specific learning disabilities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na téma efektivity Montessori pedagogiky a význam speciálních pomůcek užívaných u žáků se specifickými poruchami učení. Práce je členěna na tři teoretické kapitoly, z nichž každá obsahuje čtyři podkapitoly. První kapitola se zabývá vymezením pojmu specifických poruch učení, etiologií SPU, legislativním vymezením vzdělávání žáků se SPU a osobností žáka mladšího školního věku. Ve druhé kapitole je zpracována prevence, diagnostika a reedukace žáků se SPU a zároveň dopad specifických poruch učení na osobnost jedince. Třetí kapitola pojednává o alternativních přístupech při reedukaci žáků se specifickými poruchami učení, alternativních školách se zaměřením na Montessori pedagogiku, její didaktický materiál, prostředí a postavení učitele. Výzkumnému šetření se věnuje čtvrtá kapitola diplomové práce. Výzkumné šetření bylo zpracováno na základě kvalitativní metody s využitím výzkumných technik pozorování, analýzy dokumentů, výsledků činností a strukturovanými rozhovory s učiteli informantů, se školním speciálním pedagogem a rodiči informantů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on efficiency of Montessori pedagogy and sense of special aids for pupils with specific learning disabilities. The thesis is divided into three theoretical chapters, each of them includes four subheads. The first chapter deals with definition of specific learning disabilities, etiology of SLD, legislative framework of education and personality of young pupil. In the second chapter was elaborated prevention, diagnostics and reeducation of pupils with specific learning disabilities and also impact of specific learning disabilities on pupil’s personality. The third chapter describes the alternative approaches in education of pupils with SLD, alternative schools particularly Montessori pedagogy and didactic material, environment and also position of teacher. The fourth chapter of the thesis includes the research survey. The research was realized on the ground of qualitative methods using research techniques of observation, analysis of documents, analysis of result of pupil’s activities and structured interviews with teachers, school special education needs teacher and pupil’s parents.
