Quality of life in people with pain

Abstract:

Disertační práce je zaměřena na kvalitu života jedinců s bolestí. Obsahově je rozdělena do dvou částí (teoretické a empirické). První část umožňuje teoretický vhled do problematiky a analýzu stavu pro realizaci empirické studie. Spočívá v popisu kvality života (definice, sféry implementace pojmu, významná historická fakta, pojetí, diagnostice) a bolesti (definice, etiopatogeneze, klasifikační diferenciace, diagnostické hodnocení, terapeutické techniky). Empirická část byla založena na kvantitativní studii metodou dotazníkového průzkumu u seniorů žijících v domově pro seniory s chronickou nenádorovou bolestí. Z analýzy dat vyplynula potřeba využívání objektivizujících hodnotících a měřících technik, jak ke zjištění funkčního stavu seniorů (FAQ, MMSE, GDS), tak i k posuzování kvality života z pohledu biologické, psychické i sociální dimenze. Zjištěny byly významné determinující faktory ovlivňující kvalitu života seniorů v bolestí jak v oblasti biologické (např. spánek), tak psychické (např. deprese). Disertační práce svými zjištěními poukazuje na aktuálnost problematiky a potřebu dalších průzkumů v této oblasti.

Abstract:

This dissertation is focused on a life quality of people with pain. Content is divided in two parts (theoretical and empirical). The first section allows theoretical insight into the problems and the analysis state for the realization of empirical studies. The study is to describe the quality of life (definition, concept implementation sphere,significant historical facts, conception, diagnosis) and pain (definition, etiopatogenesis, differentiation classification, evaluation diagnostic, therapeutic techniques). Empirical section was based on the quantitative study using questionnaire survey of elder people suffering from nonmalignant chronic pain. From these data analysis rev ealed the need to use objectifying evaluation and measurement techniques both for the eldery people functional status finding (FAQ, MMSE, GDS) and the life quality assessment in the biological, psychological and social dimension perspective. There were found the significant factors in both the biological (sleep) and the mental (depression) area affecting the quality of elder people life in pain. The dissertation refers to current issues and the need for turther research in this area.
