Tourism and the Environment

Abstract:

Cílem práce „Cestovní ruch a životní prostředí“ je popis vztahů cestovního ruchu a životního prostředí, a jejich vzájemné působení. První část je věnována teorii cestovního ruchu, jeho formám a druhům. Zároveň je zde stručně popsán historický vývoj cestovního ruchu a povědomí o ochraně životní prostředí. Druhá část se zabývá popisem vzájemných vztahů a působení cestovního ruchu a životního prostředí. V této části je také zmíněn udržitelný cestovní ruch jako nástin řešení daného problému. V poslední části jsou uvedeny praktické příklady dopadů cestovního ruchu v různých koutech světa. Práce byla zpracována na základě anglické i české literatury, týkající se tohoto tématu.

Abstract:

The goal of thesis „Tourism and the Environment“ is a description of the relationship between tourism and the environment and their interaction. The first part is devoted to the theory of tourism, its forms and kinds. It is also briefly discribed the historical development of tourism and the awareness on the protection of the environment. The second part deals with the interrelationship between tourism and the environment. In this part is also mentioned sustainable tourism as an outline of the problem. In the final part are presented practicle examples of the impact of tourism in different parts of the World. The thesis was prepared on the basis of English and Czech literature related to this topic.
