Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analýza reflexe československé smlouvy z prosince 1943 v dobovém protektorátním i exilovém tisku. Trauma mnichovské dohody, stejně jako následného období protektorátu zanechalo hluboké stopy v paměti československé společnosti. Osoba Edvarda Beneše, který v přípravě zmiňované smlouvy sehrál klíčovou úlohu, je spjata jak s mnichovskou dohodou, potažmo vznikem druhé republiky, tak s exilovou vládou v Anglii, prvními poválečnými roky osvobozené republiky a únorovým převratem. Díky těmto událostem je Edvard Beneš jedním z nejkontroverznějších československých politiků a nad jeho politickým životem stále visí řada otazníků. Analýza protektorátního tisku poskytne mimo jiné obraz Edvarda Beneše, který byl občanům předkládán okupační mocí, exilový tisk naopak vnímání Benešovy osobnosti mezi českými exulanty v zahraničí. Výzkum je založen na kritické studii edic již vydaných dokumentů a analýze československého legálního protektorátního a exilového tisku.

Abstract:

The goal of the thesis is to analyse the reflection of the Czechoslovak-soviet Treaty of December 1943 in the period protectorate and exile press. Trauma of the Munich Agreement, as well as the subsequent period of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, leaves deep traces in the memory of Czechoslovak people. The personality of Eduard Benes, the most important person in the Treaty preparation, is connected with the Munich Agreement, the formation of the Second Czechoslovak Republic as well as with the government in exile in Great Britain, with the first post-war years in liberated republic and February putsch. Thanks to these events Eduard Benes is considered one of the most controversial Czechoslovak politicians, and there are still many questions about his political career. The analysis of the protectorate press provides us the image of Eduard Benes that was presented to the citizens by occupying power. The exile press will on the other hand prove how Benes was appreciated in the surroundings of Czech exile. The research will be based on the critical study of editions of official documents and on the analysis Czechoslovak legal protectorate and exile press.
