Comparison of the Social Worker and Health and Social Worker Role towards Clients with Mental Disabilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnovaná identifikaci a komparaci poskytování sociální intervence prostřednictvím odborné činnosti zdravotně sociálního pracovníka a sociálního pracovníka v realizaci programu zacházení s klienty s mentálním postižením. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní pojmy vztahující se k řešenému tématu, jako je mentální postižení, stupeň mentálního postižení, mentální retardace a specifika zdravotně sociální a sociální práce poskytované této cílové sociální skupině. Pozornost je věnována rozdílům ve vzdělávání, získaných kompetencích, uplatnění ve vystudovaném oboru a legislativě u pomáhajících profesí zdravotně sociálního a sociálního pracovníka. Představeny jsou i pracovní postupy poskytované zdravotně sociální práce ve vybraném subjektu sociálních služeb. V empirické části práce přináší výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu pomocí techniky dotazníku u zdravotně sociálních pracovníků a sociálních pracovníku s cílem poukázat na rozdíly v kompetencích obou profesí a jejich významu při poskytování zdravotně sociální a sociální péče mentálně postiženým klientům.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the identification and comparison of the providing of social intervention through the professional activities of a health and social worker and a social worker in the implementation of a program for the treatment of clients with mental disabilities. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis defines the basic concepts related to the topic, such as mental disability, degree of mental disability, mental retardation and the specifics of health and social work provided to this target social group. Attention is paid to differences in education, acquired competencies, application in the field of study and legislation in the helping professions of health and social worker. Work procedures provided by health and social work in a selected subject of social services are also pre-sented. In the empirical part of the work presents the results of quantitative research us-ing a questionnaire technique for health and social workers in order to point out the dif-ferences in the competencies of both professions and their importance in providing health and social care to mentally handicapped clients.
