Ageing in the community - the role of the municipality and field services in supporting seniors in housing in Zábřeh

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá možnostmi sociální práce na obci při podpoře seniorů v setrvání v domácím prostředí. Práce je koncipována jako teoreticko-aplikační. Teoretická část se věnuje seniorskému věku, změnám spojeným se stářím, potřebám ve stáří a překážkám v jejich naplňování. Pozornost je věnována také roli obce v podpoře seniorů v oblasti bydlení, činnosti sociálního pracovníka a jeho spolupráci s terénními a navazujícími službami. Ty jsou více popsány v následující kapitole doplněné přehledem služeb v Zábřeze. Výzkumná část je pojata formou kazuistik zpracovaných ve spolupráci se sociální pracovnicí odboru sociálních věcí Městského úřadu Zábřeh. Shrnutí kazuistik obsahuje zprávy o jednotlivých případech a návrh možných opatření pro zlepšení podpory seniorů v jejich setrvání v domácím prostředí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of social work in the municipality in supporting the elderly in staying at home. The thesis is conceived as a theoretical-application. The theoretical part is devoted to the elderly age, changes associated with old age, needs in old age and obstacles in their fulfillment. Attention is also paid to the role of the municipality in supporting the elderly in housing, the activities of the social worker and his/her cooperation with field and follow-up services. These are described in more detail in the following chapter, accompanied by an overview of services in Zábřeh. The research part is in the form of case studies prepared in cooperation with the social worker of the Social Affairs Department of the Municipal Office of Zábřeh. The summary of the case studies contains case reports and a proposal for possible measures to improve the support for the elderly in their stay at home.
