Natural and Community Garden for Primary Education in the 21st Century

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Přírodní a komunitní zahrada pro primární vzdělávání ve 21. století“ se zamýšlí nad využitím školních zahrad, vytvořených na přírodních principech, ve vzdělávání a výchově žáků na 1. stupni ZŠ. Zkoumá možnosti jejich využití jako zahrad komunitních, určených k setkávání, společnému pozorování, společné práci i relaxaci. V teoretické části se zabývá čtyřmi oblastmi, které formují vztah člověka (dítěte) s přírodou: koncepty aktivizujícího vzdělávání ve 21. století, zákonitosti přírodních zahrad, současný fenomén komunitní zahrady a podoby zahrad při školských zařízeních. V praktické části pak řeší spojení všech čtyř oblastí v jeden celek. Jádrem práce je návrh, realizace a ověření záhonu s přírodními prvky na pracovišti Katedry biologie PdF MU a integrované tematické výuky pro žáky 1. stupně s prvky vrstevnického vyučování v komunitní zahradě.

Abstract:

Diploma Thesis „ Natural and Community Garden for Primary Education in the 21st century“ is dealing with using of school gardens, created on natural principles for educational purposes of pupils at the 1st stage of their primary education. It also studies usage of community gardens, designated for meetings, collective observing, and collective work as well as relaxing. In its theoretical part, the Thesis deals with four areas that shape the relationship of a man (child) towards nature: concept of activity education in the 21st century, laws of natural gardens, topical phenomenon of community gardens and garden forms with educational institutions. In its practical part, it deals with uniting these four areas into one unit. The core of the Thesis is designing, creation and implementation of the garden patch with natural elements on the Workplace biological Department Faculty of Education of Masaryk University and integrated topical education for pupils of the 1st stage of their primary education with elements of peer education in and community natural gardens.
