Attitude of Support Workers in Homes for the Elderly to Active life of the Elderls

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá postojem pomáhajících pracovníků v domovech pro seniory k aktivnímu životu ve stáří. Týká se toho, jakým způsobem pomáhající pracovníci v domovech pro seniory percipují, prožívají aktivní život ve stáří a jakým způsobem reagují na aktivní život ve stáří. Teoretická část obsahuje základní pojmy jako jsou stáří, aktivní život seniorů, aktivizace seniorů, teoretické přístupy z hlediska přístupu pomáhajících pracovníků vůči svým klientům a také pojem postoj. Metodologická část obsahuje vybranou výzkumnou techniku, postupné kroky realizace výzkumu a zdůvodnění tří dílčích výzkumných otázek. Interpretační část se věnuje samotnému výzkumu, výsledky tohoto výzkumu a je zde určován kontext mezi kategeoriemi, subkategoriemi a dimenzemi, které byly vytvořeny z odpovědí respondentů. Jsou zde zkoumány příčiny a následky chování pomáhajících pracovníků, na základě určitého postoje. V závěru práce autorka odpovídá na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a doporučuje návrhy pro další výzkum.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the attitude of support workers in homes for the elderly to active life in the golden age. More specifically the thesis is deals with firstly how to support workers in homes for the elderly to perceive, exprience an active life in old age and secondly, how such workers respond to an active life in old age. The theoretical part includes basic concepts such as age, active life of the erderly, activation of the elderly, the theoretical approaches concerning support workers' approach to their clients and finally the term „attitude“. The methodological part contains selected research technique, the stages of research realization and the reasoning of three partial research questions. The interpretation part is dedicated firstly to the research itself, secondly to the results of the research and finally, the context between categories, sub-categories and dimensions created on the basis of respondents' answers is determined. In addition it reviews the causes and consequences of the behavior of support professionals based on a certain attitude. In the conclusion of the thesis the author answers the main research question and proposes recommendations for further research.
