Sustainability and responsibility in tourism destination management

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je aplikace zásad udržitelnosti a odpovědnosti v managementu destinací cestovního ruchu a ohledem na zájmy a postoje rezidentů k rozvoji cestovní-ho ruchu v destinaci. Výsledkem diplomové práce bude doporučení efektivního zapojení rezidentů do rozvoje cestovního ruchu, příp. doporučení pro snížení jejich iritace z rozvoje cestovního ruchu v destinaci. První část diplomové práce se věnuje především pojmům týkajícím se destinace, managementu destinace a udržitelného a odpovědného cestovního ruchu. Další část práce se věnuje samotnému výzkumu postoje rezidentů k rozvoji cestovního ruchu v uvedených destinacích. V práci je využit kvantitativní výzkum ve formě online dotazování. Odpovědi byly zpracovány a vyhodnoceny základními statistickými metodami, převážně v Microsoft Excel s využitím grafů a tabulek. Test hypotéz byl proveden chí-kvadrát testem, za pomoci hodnoty p-value. Testování bylo provedeno na hladině významnosti α = 0,05.

Abstract:

The aim of the diploma thesis is to apply the principles of sustainability and responsibility in the management of tourism destinations with regard to the interests and attitudes of residents to the development of tourism in the destination. The result of the diploma thesis will be a recommendation for the effective involvement of residents in the development of tourism, or recommendations for reducing their irritation from the development of tourism in the destination. The first part of the diploma thesis deals mainly with concepts related to destinations, destination management and sustainable and responsible tourism. The next part of the work is devoted to the research of residents' attitudes to the development of tourism in these destinations. The work uses quantitative research in the form of online surveys. The answers were processed and evaluated by basic statistical methods, mainly in Microsoft Excel using graphs and tables. The hypothesis test was performed by a chi-square test, using the p-value. Testing was performed at a significance level of α = 0.05.
