Bakalárska práca je zameraná na platobnú kartu ako nástroj bezhotovostného platobného styku. Jej cieľom je poskytnúť ucelený pohľad na platobnú kartu ako bezhotovostný platobný nástroj od jej samotného vzniku, cez jej neustále napredujúci vývoj až po súčasnosť a analýza platobnej karty.
