Proteín p53 patrí medzi tumor supresorové proteíny, ktoré hrajú dôležitú úlohu v regulácii bunkového cyklu a v prevencii pred malignou transformáciou. Mutantné formy proteínu p53 boli objavené vo viac než 50% prípadov ľudských nádorov. Abstract:
Protein p53 belong to the tumour suppressor proteins, which play important role in regulation cell cycle and in prevention from malignant transformation. Mutaded forms of protein p53 were found in more than 50% of human tumours. Most of the p53 mutants have lost the wild-type tumour suppressor activity but show oncogenic properties.
