Tato disertace dokumentuje recepci tzv. Beat Generation autorů a jejich děl ve Spojených státech amerických a v Česku, tedy v Československu a České republice, a to ve dvou časových obdobích – v 50. a 60. letech minulého století a v současnosti. The dissertation documents the reception of the Beat Generation writers and their work in the United States and the Czech lands, that is Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic, in two different time periods – the 1950s/1960s and today. Subsequently, by analyzing the differences and similarities between the receptions, the dissertation comments on how an understanding of a subject is formed. The Beats …moreAbstract:
