Managing a team of social workers in social service organisations

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaobírá řízením týmu sociálních pracovníků v organizacích sociálních služeb. Práce je rozdělená do dvou části, a to na teoretickou a výzkumnou. Teoretická část je následně dále členěná do čtyř kapitol. Úvodní kapitola se zaměřuje na vymezení pojmu řízení lidských zdrojů a činnosti řízení lidských zdrojů. Druhá kapitola se dále zaobírá organizacemi sociálních služeb, kde jsou uvedeny základní charakteristiky sociálních služeb a je zde také vymezená profese sociální práce. Následující kapitola je zaměřená na styly řízení a vymezení týmu. Čtvrtá kapitola následně vymezuje specifika řízení, které jsou patrné v sociálních službách. Cílem výzkumné části bakalářské práce je zjistit, s jakými bariérami se setkávají vedoucí pracovníci při řízení týmu sociálních pracovníků v organizacích sociálních služeb a jak jsou vedoucími pracovníky tyto bariéry překonávány. Výzkumná část představuje poslední kapitolu této bakalářské práce, kde jsem s ohledem na stanovený cíl zvolila kvalitativní výzkumnou strategii. Jako metodu jsem dále zvolila obsahovou neboli tematickou analýzu dat.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the management of a team of social workers in social service organizations. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and research. The theoretical part is then further divided into four chapters. The introductory chapter focuses on defining the concept of human resource management and human resource management activities. The second chapter further deals with social service organisations, where the basic characteristics of social services are presented and the profession of social work is also defined. The following chapter focuses on management styles and team definition. The fourth chapter then defines the specifics of management that are evident in social services. The aim of the research part of the bachelor thesis is to find out what barriers managers face when managing a team of social workers in social service organizations and how these barriers are overcome by managers. The research part represents the last chapter of this bachelor thesis where I have chosen a qualitative research strategy with regard to the stated aim. Furthermore, I have chosen content or thematic data analysis as my method.
