Social investigation for purposes of the Act on Social Services

Abstract:

Úkolem bakalářské práce je poukázat na možnost poskytovat širší poradenství při provádění sociálního šetření, které je vykonáváno v souladu se zákonem č. 108/2006 Sb., o sociálních službách, ve znění pozdějších předpisů. Teoretická část vymezuje zkoumaný problém a zároveň objasňuje pojmy, které mají vazbu k danému tématu (instituce, profese, sociální služby, příspěvek na péči, sociální šetření). Text se dále zabývá otázkou, jak vnímají poskytování poradenství sociální pracovnice, ale také tím, jaká je míra informovanosti žadatelů o příspěvek na péči. Průzkum čerpal z autorčina vlastního výzkumného šetření, které umožnilo proniknout do sledované oblasti. Byl proveden technikou rozhovoru se dvěma skupinami: se sociálními pracovnicemi a s žadateli o dávku, na metodologickém pozadí obecné metody teoreticko-empirické, indukce, analýzy, komparace a dotazování. Práce se také pokusila doložit souvislost mezi osobou sociálního pracovníka a vlastním výkonem sociální práce. Výsledkem je zcela nový návrh metodiky, která by mohla být inspirací nejen pro začínající pracovníky, ale mohla by sloužit i zkušenějším pracovníkům k podrobnější úvaze o své práci.

Abstract:

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to accentuate the possibility of social workers offering wider consultant services besides just the implementation of social investigation, which is performed according to law No. 108/2006 collection of laws, as amended.The theoretical part delimits the problem under examination and at the same time clarifies the terms which are linked to the given theme (institutions, professions, social services, allowance care, social investigation). The text also deals not only with the question of how social workers perceive providing consulting services, but also with the degree of awareness of allowance care applicants. The research draws from the author´s own investigation which was performed in the concerned field. The study was conducted through a series of interviews with two groups of respondents – social workers and applicants for allowance care – on the basis of the common theoretical-empirical, induction, analysis, and comparison and questioning methodologies.The thesis also attempts to account for the link between social workers and their own social work performance. As a result, there is a new proposal of methodology, which could serve as inspiration not only for the less experienced workers, but also to give the more advanced workers a more detailed understanding of their work.
