Production of puppet as a means for developing communication skills of children with speech defect.

Abstract:

Cílem mé diplomové práce je probádání možností, které nabízí svět loutek a loutkového divadla, jimiž lze zlepšovat a rozvíjet komunikační dovednosti dětí s logopedickou vadou - narušenou komunikační schopností. Text diplomové práce dělím na dvě části - teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část je koncipována jako odborné zázemí stanoveným vstupním hypotézám a následnému výzkumnému projektu. Pracuji zde s odbornou literaturou, která se nastolené problematice věnuje. Empirickou část této práce považuji za stěžejní, neboť je tvořena samotným kvalitativním výzkumem. Na základě dvou fenoménů (jemná motorika a identifikace s loutkou), které kvalitu řeči mohou ovlivňovat, rozděluji výzkum do dvou tematických okruhů. V prvním se věnuji technologickým specifikům výroby loutky (pozoruji, jakým způsobem ovlivňuje rozvíjení jemné motoriky kvalitu řeči), v druhém okruhu se zaměřuji na nácvik a hraní divadla s loutkou (zkoumám zda lze nabídkou fiktivního světa zmírnit hladinu působící úzkosti a stresu a tím zmírnit projevy narušené komunikační schopnosti). Na základě kvalitativní analýzy výzkumného projektu uvádím v závěru této práce odpovědi na výzkumné otázky.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is exploring the possibilities which offered the world of puppets and puppet theaters, which can improve and develop communication skills of children with speech defects - communication disorder. Text of the thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part is conceived as an expertise according to given hypotheses and subsequent research project. I work here with literature that deals with issues raised. The empirical part of this paper I consider crucial, since it consists of a qualitative research. Based on two phenomena (fine motor skills and identification with puppets) that may affect the quality of speech, is divided into two research themes. In the first I devoted to the technological specifics of production puppets (I observe how they affect the development of fine motor speech quality) in the second range I focused on practicing and playing with a puppet theater (I examine whether the offer of the fictional world of acting to mitigate the level of anxiety and stress and alleviating the symptoms of communication disability). Based on qualitative analysis of a research project the conclusion of this work answers to research questions.
