Internet of Things - Design of a smart home system

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se v teoretické části zpočátku zabývá internetem věcí a chytrých spotřebičů z historického hlediska. Zmiňuje se o několika přelomových událostech, které významně posunuly internet věcí kupředu a ovlivnily tak jeho vývoj do dnešní podoby. V další části se práce věnuje samotnému pojmenování a co konkrétně vedlo k jeho sjednocení. Pojem dále definuje a blíže rozvádí včetně principu, na kterém je celá technologie postavená. Čtenáře poté informuje o narůstající popularitě chytrých zařízeních a o rozdělení současného celosvětového IoT trhu. V druhé polovině teoretické části, je pozornost věnována základním vrstvám architektury inteligentních spotřebičů. Dále jsou popsány současné kritické oblasti, které zpomalují inovace napříč všemi chytrými spotřebiči. Praktická část se zabývá návrhem inteligentního domácího systému, jehož součástí je kromě hlasového asistenta, také dálkové ovládání teploty a osvětlení, a to především za pomocí vzdáleného přístupu přes cloud. Hlavním přínosem je nejenom seznámení čtenáře s instalací takového systému, ale také s uživatelským rozhraním a funkcemi, které daná část systému nabízí. Při návrhu systému je tedy kladen důraz na vzájemnou interoperabilitu, jednoduchost zapojení a cenovou dostupnost.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis, in the theoretical part, focuses initially on the Internet of Things and smart appliances from a historical point of view. It mentions several breakthrough events that have significantly moved the Internet of Things forward and have influenced its development to its present form. Next part of the thesis deals with the name itself and what specifically led to its unification. The term further defines and explains, including the principle on which the whole technology is built. Then it informs readers about the growing popularity of smart devices and the distribution of current global IoT market. In the second half of the theoretical part, attention is paid to the basic layers of smart appliances architecture. In addition, current critical areas are described that slow down innovation across all clever appliances. The practical part deals with the design of an intelligent home system, which includes a voice assistant as well as remote control of temperature and home lighting, especially with the help of remote cloud access. The main benefit is not only to familiarize the reader with the installation of such a system, but also with the user interface and features that a given part of the system offers. When designing the system, emphasis is placed on interoperability, simplicity and affordability.
