PET/CT in the diagnostic and definition of the therapy reply, which it applies to patients with gynecological malignancies

Abstract:

Hlavním tématem bakalářské práce jsou zobrazovací a diagnostické metody, se kterými se pracuje na oddělení nukleární medicíny. Práce se zaměřuje na tyto metody především k zobrazování gynekologických malignit. Teoretická část je zaměřena na jednotlivé gynekologické malignity, které jsou popsány od anatomie až po prognózy jednotlivých onemocnění. Dále se zaměřuje na speciální vyšetření, které se nazývá pozitronová emisní tomografie, při němž se gynekologické malignity mohou zobrazovat před zahájením terapie a dále také na radiační ochranu pracovníků i pacientů. V praktické části je popsána činnost radiologického asistenta při vyšetření krok za krokem právě na zmiňované pozitronové emisní tomografii s přiloženými fotografiemi pro lepší orientaci.

Abstract:

The main topic of the thesis are imaging and diagnostic methods with which they used at the nuclear medicine department. The theses focuses primarily on the methods imaging gynecological malignancies. The theoretical part deals with the individual gynecological malignancies that are described from their anatomy up to the prognosis of individual diseases. It also focuses on the special examination, called positron emission tomography, in which the gynecological malignancies may be displayed prior initiating the therapy. Attention is also paid to radiation protection of both the workers and patients. The practical part describes step by step the examination on the mentioned PET/CT exam using photographs for better orientation.
