Reasons for driving motor vehicles under the influence of addictive substances

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Důvody řízení motorových vozidel pod vlivem návykových látek“ pojednává o problematice přestupků páchaných v dopravě ve spojitosti s alkoholem a jinými návykovými látkami. V úvodu se zaměřuje na definici základních adiktologických pojmů, následuje krátký náhled na historii užívání návykových látek a okolnosti, jež jejich konzumaci provází. Dále je krátce shrnuta problematika přestupků a trestných činů ve spojitosti s užíváním návykových látek a řízením motorových vozidel. Praktická část práce navazuje kvalitativním zpracováním rozhovorů s participanty, kteří byli přistiženi při řízení motorových vozidel pod vlivem návykových látek a následně za toto jednání také právně postiženi. Na základě těchto podkladů je v závěru práce s pomocí získaných údajů nabídnuto hlubší porozumění důvodům, které vedou uživatele návykových látek nejen k samotnému užívání nelegálních látek, ale následně i dalšímu nepřípustnému jednání – řízení motorových vozidel pod jejich vlivem.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis „The reasons of driving motor vehicles under the influence of addictive substances“ is about the problems of traffic offenses in connection with alcohol and other addictive substances. In the introduction focuses on the definition of basic addictological concepts, followed by a short overview of the drugs using and the circumstances surrounding their consumption. Follow summary of offenses related to substance use and driving. Practical part of the thesis follows the qualitative processing of interviews with the participants caught during the driving of motor vehicles under the influence of addictive substances and subsequently also legally handicapped for this behavior. Base on these documents, the conclusion of the work with the help of the obtained data is offered a deeper understanding of the reasons that lead users of addictive substances not only to the use of illegal substances themselves, but also to another inadmissible act - the driving of motor vehicles under their influence.
