Domestic Violence Between Partners and Its Impacts on Children Through the Eyes of Social Workers of the Department for Social and Legal Protection of Children

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou domácího násilí mezi partnery a jeho dopady na dítě jako svědka. Cílem této práce bylo především zjistit a popsat, jaké vnímají sociální pracovníci OSPOD dopady domácího násilí mezi partnery na děti. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a empirickou část. V teoretické části věnuji pozornost domácímu násilí mezi partnery, otázce genderu a sexuality v kontextu domácího násilí, dopadům domácího násilí mezi partnery na dítě, jako svědka, Orgánu sociálně–právní ochrany dětí (OSPOD) a práci sociálních pracovníků OSPOD s dítětem ohroženým domácím násilím. Empirická část je zaměřena na popis metodologie a interpretaci dat kvalitativního výzkumu, který byl uskutečněn díky osmi rozhovorům se sociálními pracovníky OSPOD.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of domestic violence between partners and its impacts on the child witness. The main aim of this thesis was to detect and describe the impacts of domestic violence between partners on children perceived by social workers of the Department for Social and Legal Protection of Children. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, I pay attention to domestic violence between partners, the issue of gender and sexuality in the context of domestic violence, the impacts of domestic violence between partners on the child as a witness, the Department for Social and Legal Protection of Children and social workers and their work with a child at risk of domestic violence. The empirical part is focused on description of the methodology and interpretation of the data of the qualitative research, which was conducted through eight interviews with social workers of the Department for Social and Legal Protection of Children.
