Energy use of solid biomass in relation to coal combustion sources

Abstract:

Předkládaná bakalářská práce pojednává o možnostech využití tuhé biomasy ve vztahu k fosilní energetice. V první části je popsána biomasa jako taková, tedy její definice, druhy, podmínky vzniku a její možná úprava. Také je zde rozebráno, jaké možnosti se naskytují pro její efektivní spalování a výslednou úpravu spalin. Dále se zaobírá přímým srovnáním energetických, environmentálních a ekonomických aspektů obou zmíněných paliv včetně stoupajícího zastoupení spalování biomasy na úkor uhlí v České republice a ve světě. V závěru je návrh pro možné zvýšení účinnosti spalování biomasy z více možných pohledů. Jeden z těchto pohledů je technické provedení zařízení a dále pak samotné palivo a jeho úpravy, popřípadě efektivní využití celého životního cyklu.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of using solid biomass in relation to fossil energy. The first part describes the biomass as such, ie its definition, types, conditions of its origin and its possible adjustments. It also discusses what options are available for its efficient combustion and flue gas treatment. It also deals with a direct comparison of energy, environmental and economic aspects of both mentioned fuels, including the increasing share of biomass combustion at the expense of coal in the Czech Republic and in the world. In conclusion, there is a suggestion for a possible increase in the efficiency of biomass combustion from several possible perspectives. One of these perspectives is the technical design of the equipment, then the fuel itself and its adjustments and more efficient use of its life cycle.
