The issue of cyberbullying by pupils in primary and secondary schools

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou kyberšikany u žáků základních a středních škol. Podstatou práce je vysvětlení důležitých pojmů a faktů souvisejících s kyberšikanou, ale také rady pro odhalení a prevenci kyberšikany. V první části práce jsou čtenáři seznámeni s informačními a komunikačními technologiemi, prostřednictvím kterých ke kyberšikaně dochází. Zvláštní pozornost je zde věnována sociálním sítím, které jsou v současnosti (nejen) mezi žáky určitým fenoménem. V následující kapitole je charakterizována šikana jako patologický jev ve společnosti. Nejdůležitější součástí je však třetí část, která podrobně popisuje kyberšikanu, její odlišnosti od klasické šikany, věnuje se zde jak agresorovi, tak oběti kyberšikany, zaměřuje se na projevy kyberšikany a všímá si také role rodičů a školy při prevenci a odhalování tohoto nežádoucího jevu. Autor nezapomíná ani na řešení kyberšikany a to jak z pohledu agresora (jeho trestní odpovědnost) tak z pohledu oběti (organizace a instituce pomáhající obětem některého trestného činu).V závěru práce jsou prezentovány výsledky dotazníku prováděného na základních a středních školách a týkajícího se problematiky kyberšikany.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issue of cyberbullying of pupils in primary and secondary schools. The idea of this work is to explain important facts related to cyberbullying, as well as to give advice for the detection and prevention of cyberbullying. In the first part, the readers get to know some information and communication technologies which are typically used as a cyberbullying tool. Particular attention is paid to social networks that are currently a real phenomenon (not only) between students. The next section characterizes bullying as a pathological phenomenon in society. The most important part is the third part, which describes cyberbullying in detail, its differences from traditional bullying, describes the roles of the aggressor and the victim of cyberbullying, focuses on the manifestations of cyberbullying and also notes the role of parents and schools in the prevention and detection of this undesirable phenomenon. The author does not forget to present solutions of cyberbullying, both from the perspective of the aggressor (and his criminal responsibility) and from the perspective of the victim (institutions and organizations helping victims of this crime). In the end, there are presented the results of a questionnaire made in primary and secondary schools regarding the issue of cyberbullying.
